Come With Me, My Love

Once upon a time, there a was a boy and a girl who loved the game of golf, the city of New Orleans, and most of all, each other.  Once they met, the boy and the girl were inseparable.  Together they would scour their neighborhood in search of the best crab rangoons and tour the lights at Christmas time with their kitty purring beside them in the car.  And after spending lots and lots of amazing time together, the boy and the girl decided that they  should marry and live happily ever after.  And on a perfect June day, with the sun shining and the flowers blooming, this boy and this girl made one another’s dreams come true.

Here is a sneak peek of Danielle + Ben’s fairy tale day that we had the privilege to photograph this weekend.

Katie + Blaine: Married

It has been a year since a boy from Minnesota and a girl from Kansas said, “I do.” 365 calendar days since family and friends gathered round in celebration of the couple, who first were first matched through an online dating site, promised forever.  12 months since the dreams of forever for the girl, who bravely ventured to the Twin Cities for their first encounter, came true with the boy who left his dogs, his family, and his home to start a new one with her.

One year ago today, we celebrated as Katie + Blaine became husband and wife.  Today, we celebrate the joy, love, and happiness that one year has brought.  Today, we celebrate one of life’s greatest gifts: the ability to love another and accept their love in return. And today, we celebrate the many more joys and triumphs that life will bring for this sweet couple.

Here is a look back at the day where the overflowing love remains fresh in our hearts and our minds.

Many of the preparation for the day took place at Katie’s parent’s house.  We were surrounded by memories,  mementos, and moments that stole our hearts.
Katie + Blaine lit up when seeing each other for the fist time.  Then Katie brought out her uber cute nose wrinkle smile and it was ON!Helllllooo hydrangeas!  You are my very favorite.  Especially when paired with good-looking, delightful, impeccably dressed company. Katie + Blaine: we were so privileged to share in your love.   You two set an example of how to love one another by your every thought, word, and action.  We know that when Baby Butenhoff arrives in just a couple of weeks, he or she will be loved abundantly bytwo individuals who make one great team.  We wish you all the happiness that this world and the next has to offer.

Love,
Pete + Emily

Engagement Photography - June 11, 2012 - 1:11 am

Wonderful post. A picture is worth than thousands words. Photography is indeed the best way to express your feelings and depicts the era. I love photography and look over the web for finding useful stuff for the same. I came across your blog and after subscribing in my feeder I hope you will keep on the good posts like this continuously. Thanks You

Danielle + Ben: Engaged

She knew.   From the first moment he noticed him—diligently ensuring that each person who went to and from their shared place of employment was safe and secure—she knew.

She knew.  She knew that she wanted to be around him, to take him in, learn the things that light up his life, and to share in that life. Because, she knew.

So when it was time the co-workers to mingle, she made sure to make herself to known to him.

Funny thing is, he knew, too.  He knew that he wanted to be around her and share in her life, to love and protect her, and to be her person.

Since that first outing together, Danielle + Ben have known there is no other one for them.  Tomorrow, we will cheer with Danielle + Ben’s friends and family as they celebrate the love that has been flourishing since their first moment together and they just knew.

Last fall, we got together with Danielle + Ben for their engagement session where we were left with no doubt that they just fit.

Danielle introduced us to the park outside of the Governor’s Mansion in Topeka.  The park itself was an amazing place to shoot.  Add the changing trees and an incredibly charming couple, and the beauty of the area was overwhelming.

These are some of my favorites. They are just so darn cute!

We also played around with Danielle + Ben around their apartment building.  It is an incredibly cool early 19th century apartment building that opens up to a courtyard in the back.  Before we got to the courtyard, however, we stopped to enjoy this moment.Danielle’s chocolate brown eyes are captivating.

Yes, I do believe that he loooves her.
And, finally, my very, very favorite.
We are so so SO excited to celebrate with you tomorrow!  Your love is an inspiration and we are privileged to be able to capture it for you tomorrow.  See you soon for lots of love and fun. :)
Hugs,
Pete + Emily

These pictures, along with your words, have moved me to tears. You have captured my niece’s physical beauty and vibrant spirit as well as my nephew-in-law’s handsomeness and charm in these wonderful pictures.
