Blinders Off

It’s funny how we remember different days in our book of time. Many days are logged in without note. Some days will be permanently dog-eared to commemorate events or occasions from years before. We may look back on the day the storm hit, or look forward to the first day of summer. But the best of days won’t need a bookmark. They are remembered by the way they make us feel.

For those of us who were lucky enough to witness the vows between Angela + Matt, last Saturday will not pass through our memories without note.  Many will remember the storm that rolled through that day, postponing every outdoor event in its path.   But as for us, we will remember the sound of the rain as the perfect accompaniment to their first dance.  We will recall the tears of joy.  And most of all, we will remember the love that was promised, and the way our hearts all grew as a result.
