Jen + Keith: Married (Part II)
Welcome back for Part Two of Jen + Keith’s wedding! Jen’s, co-worker, cousin, and cousin’s husband provided some of the most beautiful service music I have EVER heard. There is just something about the mix of an organ, violin, and trumpet that is heavenly.
While Kylie and Nolan were preparing the aisle for Jennifer, this was happening in in the wings.
This processional was literally just like the wedding scene out of “The Sound of Music” in it’s grandioseness. (Well, there was no choir singing “how do you solve a problem like Jennifer,” but you get my point.) In short, practically perfect in every way.
These next four images must be viewed together. Because they are a story. They perfectly tell the story of Jen + Keith and their emotions as they started this life journey together. But more than that, these emotions, this love is WHY we do what we do.
Jen is the Youth Minister at this church, St. John the Evangelist. Fr. John, the priest, is her supervisor. Daniel, the server, is her good friend. She chats with Lisa, the organist, daily about life, and sings praises to God with Michael, the vocalist. And these people have become Keith’s “people,” too. Their presence and excitement, along with the rest of the guests, filled the church with a joy that told us heaven was celebrating that day, too.
Many members of the High School Youth Group joined in the celebration and helped to serve the reception meal.
Time to party…Meitl style.
Why, yes, Jen is a KU fan. How ever would you have guessed?!
Jen + Keith wanted their wedding to be quintessential Lawrence. Taking the wedding party to this Lawrence staple–which is also where they had their first date–was a must.
Coolest. Image. EVER.
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Conrad! As with any Western Kansas wedding, the celebration is not complete without the wedding march. Jen’s grandmother and cousin led the processional.Among the number of things that Jen + Keith have in common is their love for the movie Armageddon. As such, the only appropriate first song was Aerosmith’s “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing.”Jen’s cousin Justin served as DJ and kept the dance floor full all night long. Those of you who know Fr. John know the fact that he donned the Roman Collar means this is a pretty special occasion.
Jen + Keith: we couldn’t be more honored to have celebrated with you and to call you friends. The same light you bring to each other is the light you give to everyone that is lucky enough to know you. It has been a privilege to watch your relationship grow. We know that your marrige will reap abundant gifts.
